Third Block Wines of Jefferson, Oregon, was formed in 2016 with a focus on providing premium high quality Oregon wines direct to wine drinkers, at reasonable prices that reflect great value. This is achieved by efficiencies created by low overhead and lean operations. However, there is no effort spared to create sumptuous wines reflecting our fortunate location and advantageous climate. For example, Oregon is one of the absolute best places on earth to grow Pinot Noir.  All of this is presented to our customers with a sense of the Oregon lifestyle

Grape vineyards are planted in blocks. The size of a block can range from 1 to 5 acres, and they are often planted over a period of a few years. Blocks are usually given names or numbers, and vary according to the grapes grown, the soil content, the contour of the land, and the exposure to the weather, rain, and sun.

For most vineyards, the first block is usually - shall we say - an opportunity to learn! This is followed by the second block, where refinement takes place in spacing, grape variety, structure and layout. By the Third Block, the experience comes to fruition with the best grape production and the best wines.
